MOUNTAIN BIKE PARK IN THE PALATINATE FOREST
The Palatinate Forest, the largest unified wooded area in Germany,
is a natural paradise for mountain bike enthusiasts, a wonderful
experience at all times of the year. It’s exciting riding along
romantic winding paths, up and down quickly alternating ascents
and descents in fascinating, varying surroundings.

Picturesque villages and lakes lie in the lonely valleys. Castles
and bizarre rock formations provide great attractions in the higher areas
and visitors will come across welcoming inns hidden deep in the forest.
A park with a total of 300 kilometres of pathways with varying degrees
of difficulty has been created. Routes can be combined according
to time and technical demands, enabling technical freaks, beginners or
families with children to find their perfect tour.
Protecting the environment
and, at the same time, making it attainable- the MTB park network
has a guiding function that ensures conservation of the sensitive core
of the Nature Reserve. Guests are automatically bound to specific routes
and to the regulations stipulated by the DIMB (German Mountain Bike Initiative).
These signs indicate the degree of difficulty on the individual routes.
Visit our park but be warned! It can become a passion.
